You’re going to love how easy it is to make crispy Homemade Texas Toast! In just minutes you’ll have this hot and tasty bread. No oven required!

Homemade Texas Toast

Some of my fondest high school memories involved my best friends and I getting ready for the big football game on a Friday night. We had the best time getting ready in our game day colors of green, gold, and white and matching our hairstyles and clothing as best as possible. We were proud to support our Bonneville Bees! We also ate dinner before the big game and oftentimes that included pizza. Tony’s Pizza is an authentic pizzeria pizza that has taken great pride in serving communities since the 1960’s, which makes it the perfect pizza for Friday Night Lights!

It all started in Salina, KS in a local pizzeria. For over 50 years Tony’s has taken pride in serving communities with pizzas featuring layers of light, crispy, crunchy crust topped with real tomato sauce and covered in 100% real mozzarella cheese. Not to mention all your favorite toppings! You can’t get much more hometown than that.

Tony's Pizzeria Style Pizza

We recently purchased Tony’s® Pizzeria Style Supreme Pizza and Tony’s® Pizzeria Style Pepperoni Pizza for dinner. My kids love Tony’s pizza and they especially love the crust. My oldest son told me that he loves how the crust always stays crispy even when we heat up the leftovers. He can’t say that about other pizzas! The pizzeria recipe gives Tony’s Pizza a fantastic, authentic taste. For this particular pizza night we made Homemade Texas Toast. I have made garlic breads in the past and my kids haven’t been the biggest fans. They are tough critics when it comes to their pizza and garlic bread! I made this Homemade Texas Toast recipe and my kids asked for more. That’s a win right there!

And speaking of winning, how about a chance to win $3000 in cash prizes, as well as hundreds of dollars in Walmart gift card? Enter this awesome giveaway below!

Homemade Texas Toast Ingredients

Everything you see above is what you need for this recipe. Yes, that includes the bread! Isn’t that great? Only four ingredients needed to make this crispy, tasty bread.

Minced Garlic for Homemade Texas Toast

The first thing you will want to do is prepare your garlic butter. The key to the goodness of this recipe is fresh garlic. That might be a little intimidating to some, but you will be pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to use. Take those four garlic cloves and chop them up till they are nice and fine. If you need to you can add a little bit of pure olive oil to help make the garlic smooth and not so chunky. Place the chopped garlic into a small bowl and use a spoon to smash it as much as possible. Don’t worry about getting it perfectly smooth.

Then chop the parsley up into small pieces and combine it with the butter and garlic. Mix that together until nice and smooth, and then either cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate it till you need it, or set it aside to prepare your Homemade Texas Toast.

After the butter is prepared, cut the french bread loaf into 12 1-inch slices.

Spread butter onto one side of each slice of bread…

…then butter the other side of each slice one at a time and place on a griddle heated to 300°F. Allow the bread to fry until golden and crispy then flip over to fry the other side.

Homemade Texas Toast

And that is it! No need to do anything else because this Texas Toast is done. You can have your Tony’s Pizzas baking in the oven while you’re preparing the bread and it will all be done at the same time. You can’t get much better than that!
