Ingredients

  • 1 loaf french bread
  • 1/2 c. salted butter at room temperature
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic
  • 1 tsp. fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. olive oil

Instructions

  • Prepare butter by finely chopping the garlic in a food chopper. Add olive oil to make the garlic smoother. Remove from chopper and place in a small bowl. Use a spoon to smash the garlic to make it smoother.
  • Combine butter, smashed garlic, and parsley; stir well to mix in all ingredients. Set aside.
  • Cut french bread loaf into 12 1-inch slices. Butter the tops of each slice, then butter the bottom of one slice and place it directly onto a griddle heated to 300°F. Repeat with remaining bread slices.
  • Fry the bread for about 2 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Carefully flip over and fry the other side. Serve and enjoy!
