If you like food and you like getting mail, you need to join Foodie Pen Pals by The Lean Green Bean! April was my first month being paired up with a pen pal and I loved it. I’m excited for May! As a part of Foodie Pen Pals, each month you’re paired up with a new pen pal and you receive a box of goodies from them. You will also send a box to someone, but not the same person who sent a box to you. And let’s say you sign up for May but you don’t want to do it in June. That’s perfect because you need to sign up every month to participate. No 6-month commitments or anything like that. It’s great!
It was so fun getting to know Jenn from Alabama and Priscilla from Virginia this month! I sent a box of some of my favorite things, as well as local items, to Priscilla. Jenn sent me a fabulous box that contained the below items:

- Organic fruit bites
- baking chocolate
- box of little chocolate chip cookies
- chocolate covered caramels
- dates
- a MONSTER peanut butter cookie
- packet of protein powder
- lemon fruit and nut bar
This box was awesome!! Let’s just say I opened the box and hurried to take the picture so I could rip into that cookie. And tonight I want to bust out those little chocolate chip cookies! I’ve been snacking on the fruit bites and saving the caramels for a chocolate emergency. ha ha And I’m SO excited to use that baking chocolate!

How fun! I did some sort of foodie pen pals a few months ago and really liked it, but one time I did it I never got a box, so I had to reevaluate, because the money spent on the box I sent out… Anyway I may have to look into it again, those treats sound so good!
