This weekend my mom stayed with us and we had a blast! We went Christmas shopping (Can you believe it's already time for that?), ate at some of our favorite places, watched movies (Home Alone 2 - love it!), and laughed till we cried. It was so fun!
On Saturday we were at Walmart walking by the frozen food aisles when we spotted these:
We HAD to try them. And I'm so glad we did! These things are amazing. They're a vanilla and peppermint ice cream on a stick, dipped in chocolate and crushed up peppermint candy. And oh, were we in heaven having one of these for dessert.Every now and then it's fun to indulge in an amazing treat. These did just the trick! I'm so excited to have another during the holidays. They're delish!!
. . . .
Today's giveaway is a favorite for sure! I love taking pictures. I also love keeping up with my little man's baby book and marking in all of his little details. I use our family blog to tell little stories about him and keep track of all the fun things he's doing as a growing 19 month old. Then there's the photo album. I decided not to do a photo album for my kids. (I can hear the gasps! "What? No photo album?") However, instead of a photo album I decided to make each one of my kids books through Shutterfly. They're easy to make and I can add text and fun extras wherever I want!
I used to be a scrapbooker but haven't done it in years. Shutterfly has recently come up with an all new something called Custom Path that I can use to make my photo book look like a scrapbook. It's really awesome and convenient:
I used to be a scrapbooker but haven't done it in years. Shutterfly has recently come up with an all new something called Custom Path that I can use to make my photo book look like a scrapbook. It's really awesome and convenient:
If you've ever made a photo book in Shutterfly before you know that the Custom Path is going to be amazing. And it is! Brycen's first year album is made in Custom Path and I love it. Some of the perks include:- Add, Move, Resize: You can add pictures to the pages in addition to the layout you've chosen, move them around the page, and resize them however you want.
- New Style: There are new page backgrounds to choose from as well as pre-made templates to guide your creativity.
- Stickers: You can add different embellishments to each page for that extra pop and scrapbook feel.
- Save Time: You can keep working on your book while your pictures are being uploaded. They'll show up right below your book while you're working on it as they're coming in from the upload. I love this part!!
Shutterfly photo books make perfect gifts! My brother-in-law and his wife make one for my in-laws every year for Christmas, featuring pictures of all the grandkids from that year. We loved that idea and made a book for my parents last year, full of pictures of all the events and happenings of that year. They loved it!

Photo Books aren't the only thing you can make from Shutterfly. You can make calendars, birthday invitations, graduation announcements, photo prints, super cute holiday cards, and much more! Take a look at a few examples they offer. So fun!

Five Cupcake Diaries readers will receive a promo code for a free 20-page 8x8 hard cover photo book as well as a code for 10 free holiday cards. Just in time for Christmas!
These codes expire December 7th.
